Black Walnut

Black Walnut is not a commonly known herb, due most likely to it's fairly specific uses. It is most often used for expelling or killing internal and external parasites. What most people don't realize, however, is that Black Walnut is a very effective treatment for fungal infections, including toenail fungus, athlete's foot, impetigo, and herpes.

Nearly any type of fungal infection can be treated using this herbal remedy, by applying the extract or tincture directly to the infected area.

Black Walnut is also very nutritious, because it is rich in manganese, potassium, and iodine. Iodine is what makes it an effective natural anti-fungal and antiseptic herb, which can be used to kill the harmful bacteria that cause infections and sores. It can be used for cleansing injuries too.

Strep throat can be cleared up by mixing a Black Walnut tincture with teas or other drinks. The natural iodine in the mixture can then bathe the back of the throat when it is swallowed.

Black Walnut can be taken as a supplement to help regulate body fluids, balance blood sugar levels, and provide nourishment to the nerves and muscles. Is is an excellent source of natural flouride as well, which helps to strengthen and build tooth enamel.

It's used as an external application for boils, cold sores, athlete's foot, canker sores, etc., as an extract, oil, liquid, or tincture. Black Walnut is also an effective treatment for poison oak, poison ivy, eczema, dandruff, and other skin related problems. It can expel parasites like tapeworms, ringworms, and pinworms from the body, when taken internally.
