Body Cleansing

Cleansing the body is an alternative approach to healing by treating the underlying causes of diseases and illnesses. By using the body cleansing approach, you can help to rid all of your major organs of toxins, so they can heal, tone, repair, and function properly. Once your organs are working properly, your overall health will improve.

It can take several months to cleanse your body, if your are suffering from one or more illnesses, or a couple of weeks, if you are healthy. Often, your symptoms will get worse before they improve.

The importance of cleansing can be fully appreciated once you understand how your body functions. When toxic wastes and chemicals build up inside your body, and/or there is an imbalance in minerals, vitamins and hormone levels, the symptoms of illness manifest in various ways. These symptoms are your body's natural defense against disease and other conditions.

For instance, sweating is your body's way of getting rid of toxins and chemicals through the skin. Fevers occur because your body is attempting to burn out the harmful bacteria. Feces and urine are also used by your body to remove toxins and waste. If your organs aren't functioning properly, and one or more of your body's natural cleansing processes fails, it will try to cleanse itself using other means.

A backed up colon, for example, may cause more frequent urination, because your body is using alternative ways to remove wastes. You may also experience strange skin conditions, rashes and scales, because your body is attempting to force out the toxins through your skin.

Body cleansing can be accomplished using a variety of methods:

- Colon cleansing with irrigation flushes and enemas. This is probably the fastest way to start cleansing, because your colon, gall bladder and liver are the major organs your body uses for waste removal.

- Healing and cleansing with herbal remedies. Herbs can improve any mineral and vitamin deficiencies in your body, and also help cleanse your waste disposal system.

- Healing and cleansing with food. Your food choices can make a huge impact on your bodily functions. You can accumulate significant damage over time, by making bad eating choices. By making healthy eating choices, you can slowly and methodically begin the healing process.
