More Natural Ear, Nose and Throat Remedies
The best source of garlic, particularly for infections, is raw. Raw garlic can actually take away the pain from an ear or throat infection within about 15 minutes, and in that time it's actually starting to kill the germs and bacteria too.
To use garlic for relieving throat infection pain, simply suck on a small slice for about 15 minutes. For ear infections, wrap a small slice in tissue, then insert it gently into the ear canal. Be careful not to push it in too far, though. The juice and odor of the garlic will quickly relieve the ear infection pain and start killing the infection causing bacteria.
Kelp is another herb which is very useful for ear, nose and throat problems. Kelp is naturally high in iodine, and is extremely effective in tea form for killing strep throat bacteria. The powdered herb doesn't dissolve well and it tastes bad, but by putting it into warm water or tea, you're able to coat the back of your throat with it and this kills the strep bacteria.
Kelp also regulates your thyroid, which produces iodine in your body itself. This allows Kelp to also act as an antibiotic, because it stimulates your thyroid to produce extra iodine for killing the infection causing bacteria in your body.

Most of the natural remedies for sore throats are natural antibiotics that help with infections (cayenne pepper, garlic, apple cider vinegar, etc). Since your sister's sore throat is caused by rawness, something soothing, like yogurt might help. I would highly recommend visiting a herbalist in your area. A herbalist will be able recommend a remedy for her raw throat as well as something to help with the mucus build up, along with the proper dosage.

Hello,
few months ago i have had a really bad ear infection. I had to take two courses of antibiotics….with the help of a kortizon in the end……i wasn't very happy cause i prefer natural remedies. Since then every time i get a bit of pain and a warm feeling in my ear i spray a natural remedy (anticeptic see water) but this time it insists for about five days now. It's not a sharp pain, it's more like a discomfort which causes a headache as well. Twoo weeks ago i had to treat tonsilitis with antibiotics again. Can you please recommend something natural to treat such infections and if possible prevent them?Thank you for your time.

Taking zinc and vitamin c can help to prevent and fight infection. Lobelia, echinacea and garlic are all natural antibiotics that can be used to help treat infections.
Mix lobelia and garlic oil or olive oil, place a few drops in the ear and plug it with cotton this will help with pain. You can also try using Colloidal silver as an ear wash.

For ear infections, apple cider vinegar can be used as an effective home remedy:
Use an ear syringe (found at drug stores) to squirt a vinegar solution into the ear and let it sit for a minute or so, then turn your head and let the liquid drain out.
The vinegar solution can be a 50/50 mixture of ACV and pure water, a 50/50 mixture of ACV and rubbing alcohol or a solution consisting of one-third vinegar, one-third pure water, and one-third rubbing alcohol.
