Peppermint Anyone?

peppermint

Peppermint makes a delicious hot or cold herbal tea, and is probably best known as a remedy for stomach discomfort. It can be used to safely and effectively treat babies with colic, or children and adults suffering from indigestion or stomach pain.

Peppermint works to relieve the discomfort caused by gas, by expelling the gas from the body. This relieves the pressure that is the source of bloating and most stomach pains.

It can be used as an alternative to aspirin and other headache medications, and also as an alternative to coffee, because it is a natural stimulant.

Peppermint is also an effective cold and flu remedy, because it helps to reduce fevers. In addition, it can be taken to relieve flu related symptoms, like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

General cold symptoms, stomach aches, ulcers, digestion problems, the chills, dizziness, and even bronchitis, are some of the other problems that peppermint can be taken for.

For babies and small children, a small piece of peppermint candy can be placed in their glasses or bottles with water. Or you can steep a peppermint tea bag and dilute it with some water. Adults can use the full strength or watered down tea, as well as peppermint candy.
