Mark asks…
How much weight can i lose on a detox?
Im planning to start the wildrose d-tox system , the program is only 12 days .
in the program you are not allowed to eat any sugars , flours , or anything with refined sugars.
most of the food that you eat on this program are proteins and fruits/vegetables
you can only drink water and teas (green , herbal teas )
this program is supose to cleanse the colon , intestins ,and liver .
how much weight should i be able to lose ?

admin answers:
I'd say at least 5 pounds. With exercise 6 or 7. It also depends on your metabolism and your weight and everything but i'd say no less than 4 and probably no more than 9.

John asks…
do these ingredients sound good for a detox?
a friend of mine bought an herbal powder detox and i was wondering are these ingredients good for cleansing the colon/intestines? it's to be taken over a 3 day period. my buddy says that the first he did #1 all night long, first time yellow and the rest was all clear. then after the next dose he did #2 all day/night. about 6 times all together. he said he had wet bowel movements and that his stomach didn't hurt it just all came out nice and smooth.
with that said i'm wondering would these ingredients actually cleanse the colon or are they just producing bowel movements but not actually cleansing the colon. you know something like how a water pill makes you urinate?
oops i forgot to list the ingredients. here the are:
psyllim husk, seena powder, fennel see, peppermint, papaya, rose hips, buckthorn bark, barberry root, celery and acidophilus (i think that's the spelling. part of the name got cut off my sheet) grape root.
it's all in a brown powder.
i'm NOT trying to lose weight. if i did that i would disappear! i'm trying to cleanse my colon! that's it!

It sounds like it is all natural so it might be OK.
If it is traditional natural medication it might work great/

Sharon asks…
Why do I have MORE acne if I'm detoxing?
I did a few things to make myself healthier in the past 2 weeks… both emotionally and physically and also to clear acne. It feels like my acne is WORSE though!
So…
before I was binge drinking 1-2 days a week, smoking ciggarettes and occasionally doing drugs. Also, my diet was okay… but it did involve wheat, white breads, sugar, etc.
I've been reading up on natural ways to cure acne (I want to avoid harsh chemicals I've used in the past) and they really emphasize how certain foods can aggrevate acne such as wheat, sugar etc. Also they discuss how its the skin removing toxins and also how acne is an indication of the liver being overloaded.
In the past 14 days, I've eliminated alcohol, ciggarettes and drugs while also eliminating wheat (except for these whole wheat fruit muffins), have been drinking a ton of herbals teas, water with lemon, vegetables fruits, brown rice, tofu etc.
In addition to this I've been taking cleansing pills to flush my system/colon of toxins.
I expected this to improve my skin… it feels like its worse though! I'm getting cystic acne on my chin.
Does anyone know why this is? Am I just detoxing and it will go away? Or what is going on?
Also, I'm on my second month of ortho tricyclen birth control (I was on yasmin before)… which is intended for clearing skin.
But new zits seem to appear every day!
Cystic ones that are hard to get rid of.
What are your opinions?
I've also been doing hot yoga which I thought would detox me but maybe is clogging my pores (even though I thoroughly shower after)
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
I'm confused… a big lifestyle change with no improvement; maybe I'm impatient… because its only been 2 weeks.

This is normal, with anything usually it gets ALOT worse before it gets better when it comes to acne
for example I went on differin and the first month my skin got red, flaky, dry, and I broke out horribly it also took a while to see any sort of change with that.
What is happening is the toxins are coming out of your body, and you should be giving this another 2 weeks to see any change making it a month this is how long it takes for your skin to get used to something, afterward keep up with what you are doing, wash your face twice a day (morning and night) with a facial cleanser you can use whatever you like but don't use anything that's harsh as it will irritate your skin and make things worse
they say that you shouldnt pick or pop, i personally dont have a problem with it with scarring or anything like that you can hold a hot wash cloth over your face to soften(open) your pores, leave it there for about 15 minutes then you can get the gunk out of there a little more safely, they do this in some spas for facials. If you arent comfortable doing this then you dont have to, you can just let it heal on its own
i know this sucks waiting, im severely impatient but giving up drugs ciggarettes and alcohol will improve yourself and you wont have to go to hospitals for alcohol poisoning, or overdoses.
It sounds like your doing really great, keep it up! :]
